Ricky Gervais is, for me, like the hot girl who’s also an  awful person: you want to hate her, but she’s so hot, so you kind of hang around anyway.

Except Gervais is funny, not hot.  And I don’t know if he’s an awful person, probably not, but he’s a horribly relentless self promoter.
